A: Nope! You will enjoy real food when you follow the RESET 28 meal plan! The meal plans in this program include both green smoothies and whole foods meals, snacks and even healthy desserts. This is not a liquid fast diet. It is a new beginning that will dramatically enhance your relationship with healthy food.

Q: Will I lose weight with the RESET 28 program?

A: I have been helping people lose weight with green smoothies and whole foods since 2009. It is my specialty. I lost 40 pounds with green smoothies and whole foods, so I put all of my tips, strategies and experience into the RESET 28 program. RESET 28 is the “next generation” of my green smoothie weight loss protocol, which has helped thousands of people lose weight over the years.

Q: How does this program differ from other cleanse and weight loss diets out there?

A: RESET 28 is more than just a cleanse or weight loss diet. A short term diet might help you lose weight and boost your energy levels, but then what happens when you stop? The weight comes back and the energy evaporates! I don’t want you to experience short term weight loss only to have you put the weight back on once you are done with the diet. Q: Do you include the calorie and nutrition info for all of the recipes in the RESET 28 program?

A: RESET 28 is not a program that is focused on numbers, rather it focuses on eating healthy and listening to your body. One of the reasons for this is because calculating the calorie content of natural, whole foods is not an exact science. Fruits and vegetables will vary greatly depending on their size, cultivar (variety), season and even the region where they were grown. Even different brands of the same packaged, natural foods (nut butters, dried berries, chia seeds) often have contradictory nutrition “facts” labels. In short, it is impossible to provide truly accurate calorie information for foods grown in nature. Over the years of helping people lose weight with whole foods, I have also found that counting calories tends to get in the way and leads to confusion. I have found that a more effective way of losing weight and improving your health with a whole foods diet/cleanse is to eliminate the obsession over meeting number goals, and instead, to focus on eating healthy food and how your body feels. When it comes to whole foods, counting calories is just not necessary.

Q: I have limited access to fresh produce. Will I be able to follow the recipes in this program?

A: The recipes in RESET 28 are designed to utilize common ingredients typically found at a supermarket. I also offer TONS of suggestions for substituting ingredients for seasonal and geographical availability, as well as allergies and taste preferences. It is also perfectly okay to use frozen fruits or greens if you can’t find them fresh.

Q: Are the meal plans vegan / gluten-free?

A: The recipes and meal plans in RESET 28 are largely plant-based and gluten-free. There are a few recipes that will appeal to omnivores who follow the program, but these recipes can easily be substituted for any of the additional 60+ vegan recipes that come bundled with the program (there are additional omnivore recipes, too). I have designed RESET 28 to be a program for everybody. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, or gluten-free – you’ll find lots of recipes that you’ll love in the program!

Q: How much will my grocery bill increase when following RESET 28?

A: How much you spend on groceries while following the meal plan will vary depending on where you live, where (and how) you shop, and how many people you are feeding. Remember that while following the meal plan, you will not be spending money on expensive, unhealthy foods (boxed and frozen foods are often way more expensive than healthy, whole food ingredients). The first week will be slightly more expensive as you may need to stock your pantry with healthy foods if you don’t already have them on hand (quinoa, brown rice, black beans, etc…). Weeks two through four will be much less expensive than week one since you will have already stocked up on whole food essentials. I also share some effective money-saving tips to keep your grocery bill in check.

Q: Is this program designed for a single person or a family?

A: To make it easy for everybody, I created these meal plans for one person. If you and your partner wish to do this program together, simply double the recipes and shopping list ingredients.

Q: I am diabetic. Can I still do RESET 28?

A: RESET 28 (and the 30-Day Whole Foods Challenge) is not specifically designed for people with medical conditions, such as diabetes. However, that doesn’t mean that this program is of no use to you if you have diabetes. While the meal-replacement green smoothie recipes might need to be modified, there are other recipes in the program that are low-carb and can be worked into your existing diabetic eating plan. Ultimately, everybody is different, so it’s hard to say if this program is right for you. I recommend looking over the meal plan, asking your doctor or dietitian, and modifying it as you see fit.
