Light, refreshing and delicious, this whole juice recipe is a wonderful start to your day. It is very cleansing and I feel invigorated after drinking it. The orange helps to sweeten the grapefruit and the cucumber adds a crisp, clean flavor to the mix.
This is an excellent juice for detoxing as both grapefruit and oranges are powerhouses when it comes to cleansing the body. They are both loaded with fiber and vitamin C.
This recipe makes about 20 ounces of juice which should be drunk immediately.
Grapefruits contain compounds that interfere with certain medications such as statin drugs like Lipitor and Zocor. If you are on any medications, please consult with your doctor or pharmacist before consuming grapefruit.
Cucumber & Grapefruit Detox Juice Recipe
- 1 medium cucumber, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed pink grapefruit juice
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
Add all the ingredients to your blender and blend on high for 30 seconds or until the cucumber is thoroughly blended.
Pour into a glass and enjoy!
NOTE: We recommend that you use a high-speed blender when making whole juices in order to get minimal pulp. The amount of pulp you get in other blenders may vary.
