Strawberry-Pineapple Green SmoothieThere’s something I love about mixing fresh tropical fruits with summer berries. In this case, pineapple and strawberries blend with mineral-rich greens for a rich, summertime flavor – minus the flavor of greens!

Because pineapple and strawberries are so flavorful, this is an excellent smoothie to make if you want to try kale, collards or dandelion greens as the bitter flavor will be masked easily.

Strawberry-Pineapple Green Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1-and-1/2 cups organic strawberries (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, chunks
  • 2 cups organic spinach or other leafy green
  • 4 to 6 ounces filtered water

Blend on high for 30 seconds or until smooth.

This smoothie will be excellent with young coconut. Simply add the meat and 4-6 ounces of coconut water instead of the filtered water. Add mango to heighten the tropical flavor. Banana will make it thicker and creamier. Add ice or use frozen berries to chill.
