Cucumber Kiwi Green Smoothie Recipe
Here’s a light and delicious green smoothie with delicate flavors that blend well together.
I wanted to use apples because they are a good source of fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants. Studies suggest that apples may protect against osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s disease.
Both kiwifruit and apples are a great source of fiber and the greens help boost the iron.
Cucumber Kiwi Green Smoothie Recipe
- 1 small cucumber, with peel
- 3 kiwifruits, peeled
- 1 apple, cored
- 1/2 bunch of Swiss chard, chopped
- 1/2 head of Romaine lettuce
- 4 to 6 ounces of filtered water
Add all the ingredients except for the lettuce to your blender, (I use a Blendtec) and hit the “pulse” button a few times. Next, add the lettuce and blend on high for 30 seconds or until the smoothie is creamy. Drink immediately as separation will occur if left for later.
