How To Select Apricots
Select apricots that have a rich orange color. They should be slightly soft. Avoid pale yellow fruits. Apricots taste better when they have been ripened on the tree.
The Environmental Working Group does not list apricots on their list of 47 fruits and vegetables studied for pesticide residue. Organic apricots are a better choice to reduce exposure if possible.
