I love this green smoothie recipe! I’ve used this recipe in a few of my green smoothie challenges and it was so popular, I added it my RESET 28 Program for Energy & Weight Loss. It’s a step-by-step guide for losing weight, boosting energy and getting healthy!
This smoothie contains zero added sugar and it is loaded with nutrients! The nutrients in strawberries help protect against rheumatoid arthritis and have anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties. Chia seeds provide a rich source of omega-3s. (Don’t have chia seeds, try flaxseed!)
This green smoothie also contains almost 4 milligrams of iron!
Lemons (and other citrus fruits) are highly regarded for their cleansing properties. They are among the most water rich fruits which help support your body’s natural cleansing abilities. The fiber in lemons supports colon function (one of your body’s most important detox organs).

Strawberry Lemonade Green Smoothie
- 10 medium strawberries
- 1/2 lemon, peeled and deseeded
- 1 and 1/2 frozen bananas, peeled
- 3 large collard leaves, stems removed
- 2 tablespoon chia seeds, soaked for 5-10 minutes
- 8 ounces unsweetened almond milk
Start by adding the liquid to your blender (see my blender recommendations), followed by the banana. Blend on high for 30 seconds or until the smoothie is creamy.
Protein: 9g (grams)
Calcium: 24% RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance)
Iron: 3.7 milligrams
This smoothie is also a good source of copper, magnesium, manganese, potassium.
Serving Size: One. (If it is too much for you, store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours)
