Orange-Cantaloupe Smoothie Recipe
Orange and melon flavors blend deliciously well in this beautiful yellow smoothie. It is a simple, delicious and low-calorie smoothie high in vitamins A and C.
The orange and cantaloupe have enough juice that adding additional water might make the smoothie too thin. If your blender can handle it, blend it without water. Otherwise, just add a little bit of water or squeeze some juice out of the orange first so that your blender can mix the ingredients.
If you are like me and add greens to all your smoothies, you might want to skip that step with this one. I added two cups of chopped baby spinach and it interfered with the delicate melon-citrus flavor. I certainly would not recommend adding kale or dandelion.
Orange-Cantaloupe Smoothie Recipe
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 cup cantaloupe
- Add a little water if needed to blend
Add all the ingredients to your blender, (I use a Blendtec) and blend on high for 30 seconds or until the smoothie is creamy.
