Nutrient Manipulation

This smoothie is loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants from the bananas and cacao. You can easily tweak this recipe to accommodate your nutritional goals.

For example, if you want more calcium, simply use a Thai coconut (4 ounces of coconut water instead of plain water and use the coconut meat) and you will boost calcium up to 21%. Vitamin A, C and calcium will be dramatically increased if you add a handful or two of spinach to make it a proper green smoothie. You might need to add a few more mint leaves to restore the dominant mint flavor.

To cut the fat by 7-8 grams, simply remove the avocado from the recipe.

Flavor Manipulation

Instead of using cacao, try adding vanilla bean for a cooling vanilla-mint smoothie.
