This smoothies is like a chocolate covered strawberry in a glass. Very yummy!

The nutrients in strawberries help protect against rheumatoid arthritis and have anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties. Strawberries are also good for your eyes as they help prevent age-related vision problems.

Ingredients

  • 6 large strawberries
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 3 tablespoons of cacao (powder, nibs or ground beans)
  • 4 to 6 ounces of filtered water

Add all the ingredients to your blender, (I use a Blendtec) and blend on high for 30 seconds or until the smoothie is creamy.

Note: If you don’t have a high-speed blender you’ll want to grind the cacao nibs or beans in a coffee grinder before adding them to your blender.

Is this smoothie, “Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie” supposed to have spinach in it? It’s green, but there isn’t any mention of spinach in the ingredients list. It sounds great!

  2. Eve,

Thanks for pointing that out to us. We recently re-uploaded all of photos in a different format. It’s a dark pink color, but the green photo must have over-rode the correct image.

    It’s fixed now.
