Banana Berry Cherry SmoothieUse two bananas for added sweetness and thickness. I used frozen cherries because I didn’t want to pit an entire cup of cherries. I also wanted a cold smoothie and frozen fruit does the trick. I don’t recommend using both frozen cherries and frozen strawberries, however, because it will be too difficult to blend and you’ll end up with more of an ice cream consistency…or a gunked up blender!

You can, of course, add fresh greens to this smoothie. Fresh baby spinach is a good choice but even kale, chard or other greens will be masked well by the banana-berry flavor. Start with two cups or handfuls of greens and add more if you want.

Banana Berry Cherry Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 large banana, peeled
  • 1 cup cherries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup organic strawberries
  • 4 ounces of filtered water

Add all the ingredients to your blender, (I use a Blendtec) and blend on high for 30 seconds or until the smoothie is creamy.
