Why We Did This
We’ve heard so many positive things about eating raw and vegan so we thought we’d kick off the new year with a 30-day dietary experiment. While we had no underlying health issues that we wanted to address, we were hoping for more energy, a little weight loss and an overall better feeling of wellness.
What We Ate
Fruit made up a significant part of our diet as well as dark, leafy greens and vegetables. We also ate raw nuts, seeds, sprouted legumes and some superfoods (cacao, maca root powder, spirulina, etc…). We did not eat anything cooked or heated. We also avoided caffeine, alcohol and limited our consumption of dried foods.
