A LOT of people ask me what I eat when I’m not drinking a green smoothie. No, I don’t just drink green smoothies.
Instead, I eat a plant-based (not necessarily vegan), whole foods diet. On this page, you can sample some of my favorite recipes, as well as a sample 1-day meal plan pulled from my popular Reset 28 Program For Energy & Weight Loss.
First Thing: Start Your Day With A Morning Tonic Water
This is optional, but I always encourage my Reset 28 participants to start their day with a morning lemon water. This re-hydrates your body and revs up your digestive system.
Breakfast: A Green Smoothie Meal
For breakfast, simply drink one of these delicious green smoothie recipes:
It’s important to drink a large, meal-replacement green smoothie (most of the recipes I post are). A true green smoothie meal will have at least 300 calories (men should have 400+ calories), 10 grams of naturally-occurring protein (double it with a quality protein powder), and some healthy fat (1/4 avocado, 2 tablespoons of chia or flaxseed, or a handful of raw nuts).
Lunch: Veggie Taco Salad with Sour “Cream”
This is one of the most raved about recipes from my Reset 28 Cleanse, and it’s one of my all-time favorites. Okay, it’s pretty much everybody’s all-time favorite recipes! And now you get to try it, too!
Alternate Lunch Recipes:
Dinner: Quinoa Stuffed Pepper
Try this delicious and easy-to-make quinoa-stuffed pepper recipe for dinner. (You can also use brown rice instead of quinoa.) It’s quick and easy to make, and you can easily double, triple, quadruple – whatever – to serve your whole family.
Make it a little more carnivore-friendly (like I have to for my meat-loving husband) by using a little less quinoa and mixing in some lean ground turkey. Now everybody is happy!

Don’t Skip The Snacks: Two Yummy Snacks Right Here!
Snacks are worked into all of my meal plans, so don’t skip them! This apple with almond butter, cinnamon and goji berries is my go-to snack. I could literally eat this every single day.
A yummy alternate snack is the granola bar recipe (also in the link below). People with very high metabolisms (men and very active women) can add this to the 1-day sample meal plan.
For the rest of us, use the recipe as an alternative to the apple w/ almond butter, or have it another day.
