Winter is coming! So are the holidays (I’m SO not ready for that!)
With two inches of snow on the ground in Upstate New York and lots of fall and winter produce in the markets, I’d like to share my top 5 seasonal green smoothie recipes with you.

With almost as much calcium as a glass of milk, this dairy-free smoothie (all of my smoothies are dairy free!) blends seasonal citrus with seasonal greens (kale!)
Pomegranates are just starting to appear in the stores now, and it’s is one of my favorite seasonal fruits! You can either use pomegranate juice, or blend the arils (seeds with juice pod) if you have a high-powered blender.
This is a new recipe! Most people only eat cranberries during the holidays when they are in their most unrecognizable (and least nutritious) form (that’s right – can-shaped!) But you can readily find fresh cranberries in the stores this time of year, and they make a great smoothie ingredient. They can also help reduce inflammation and support immune function – something we all need help with this time of year!
